GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Personal Belongings

Please ensure that all personal belongings are removed from your item(s) before collection. Our courier team will provide a carry bag for the item(s). Please hand only the item(s) for servicing to our driver. Bags Butler will not be responsible for any personal belongings left inside or attached to the item(s), including dust bags, coins, cards, detachable accessories, or other loose items.

2. Workshop Assessment & Additional Services

After collection, our workshop will inspect and assess the physical condition of the item(s). Within 7–14 business days, we will share any important observations, together with supporting photos, while the item(s) are in the early stage of servicing. If we identify any repairable areas or additional services that were not included in the original order, we may recommend them to improve or maximize the overall result. All additional services are optional and will only be carried out with your approval.

3. Existing & Hidden Damage

Before servicing, our team will document the item's condition with photos, including any visible damage or areas of concern. Some hairline cracks, internal damage, or other defects may not be visible before cleaning or coloring. After cleaning or coloring, existing damage may become more noticeable as dirt, dust, or surface buildup is removed. Our photos are taken under controlled studio lighting to help document the item's condition as accurately as possible before servicing.

4. Hidden Damage & Service Risks

Due to the age, material, usage history, and existing condition of an item, certain damage may only become visible during or after servicing. While our team will take reasonable care and precautions, it is not always possible to identify every existing or hidden defect before service. Bags Butler will not be responsible for pre-existing damage that becomes visible during or after the service.

5. Oxidation, Peeling & Fragile Materials

For items with existing oxidation, peeling, cracking, or other material deterioration, the affected areas may worsen or expand during the servicing process. This may occur because the material has already become weakened or fragile due to age, oxidation, or deterioration and may not withstand the normal handling involved in servicing.

6. Customer's Specific Concerns

As each customer may have different expectations, please inform our staff of any specific area or concern that you would like us to pay particular attention to before servicing. If no specific instruction is provided, our workshop will proceed according to our standard servicing procedures (SOP).

7. Customer Acknowledgement & Feedback

By proceeding with our services, customers acknowledge that they have been informed of the relevant service terms, limitations, and potential risks. If you have any concerns regarding the service or final result, please contact us directly so that our team can review and assist accordingly. Bags Butler reserves the right to address any false, misleading, or defamatory statements made about our services through the appropriate channels.

8. Re-service & Refund

Depending on the item's condition and the circumstances of each case, Bags Butler reserves the right to determine whether a re-service, partial refund, or refund is applicable. Any such arrangement will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

9. Handmade Servicing & Wear and Tear

All our services are performed manually by hand. Cleaning and color restoration can improve the cleanliness and appearance of an item, but they cannot restore structural or physical damage. Repaired or restored areas may naturally show signs of wear again over time due to normal usage, handling, and environmental factors.

10. Service Risks & Sentimental Items

We handle every item with care and take reasonable precautions throughout the servicing process. However, due to the nature, age, material, and existing condition of pre-owned items, unexpected issues may occasionally occur despite our best efforts. Customers with items of extremely high sentimental value or who have zero tolerance for any possible change or risk are advised to carefully consider whether servicing is suitable before proceeding.

11. Use of Service Photos for Social Media

Bags Butler reserves the right to use photos of serviced items for marketing and social media purposes. No personal or identifying information will be included. If you do not wish for photos of your item(s) to be used online, please inform us before placing your order.

This process may take approximately 1–2 weeks, depending on the item's condition and our workshop schedule. Once the item(s) have completed sterilization and packing, they will be passed to our courier team for delivery arrangement.

7. Changes, Postponement & Cancellation

If you need to change the pickup/delivery date or time, postpone the arrangement, or cancel the appointment, please inform our courier team at least 24 hours before the confirmed date and time. For last-minute changes, cancellations, or missed appointments on the confirmed date, SGD 15 per trip will apply.

8. Cancellation After Collection

If an order is cancelled after Bags Butler has collected the item(s), a SGD 60 fee will apply to cover transportation and administrative costs.

9. Final Confirmation

After the pickup or delivery has been arranged, our courier team will send you a confirmation message on the scheduled day with the estimated time frame. Please respond to the message to confirm the arrangement before our courier proceeds.

10. Collection & Delivery by an Appointed Person

You do not need to be personally present for collection or delivery. Someone appointed by you may hand over or receive the item(s) on your behalf. For safety and verification purposes, our courier team will arrive in Bags Butler uniform with our company logo. You may also request to see their company identification tag to verify their identity.

11. Cash Payment Upon Collection

Bags Butler operates primarily on a cashless payment basis. If cash payment upon collection has been approved by management, please prepare the exact amount, as our courier team does not carry cash for change. Where possible, we encourage customers to use our available cashless payment methods for a smoother and more convenient transaction.

GENERAL NOTES – CLEANING SERVICES

Cleaning is a process to clean and maintain both the interior and exterior of the item, including polishing of the metal hardware where applicable. Cleaning is intended to improve the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall condition of the item. However, cleaning cannot guarantee complete removal of all stains, mould, odour, or other existing issues. The final result depends on the item's material, age, condition, previous usage, and storage history. Different materials and areas require different cleaning agents and techniques. Our workshop will assess and select the appropriate method for each item. The cleaning process takes approximately 3–6 weeks, depending on the item's condition. Additional treatment may require additional time.

Cleaning Results & Limitations

1. Stains & Colour Transfer

Some stains may be removed, while others may only be lightened or remain after cleaning. Common examples include yellow stains, glue stains, colour transfer, water stains, ink, jeans stains, oil stains, and other unidentified stains. Cleaning cannot guarantee complete stain removal. Where applicable, colour restoration may be recommended to cover persistent discoloration or stains, depending on the material.

2. Mould & Mildew

Cleaning can remove surface mould and disinfect the item for hygiene purposes. As mould may have penetrated into the material and its roots may not be completely eliminated. Mould may therefore regrow after cleaning, especially under humid conditions or with improper storage. Severe mould may also leave permanent stains or cause discoloration that cannot be removed by cleaning. Colour restoration may be recommended for suitable leather materials. Please also take care when using moisture absorbers or dehumidifiers. If the liquid from these products comes into contact with the item, it will cause permanent damage.

3. Odour

Cleaning may help reduce unpleasant odours caused by dirt, mould, mildew, or general usage. However, odour caused by material ageing, inner-layer oxidation, or adhesive deterioration may remain or become noticeable again after cleaning, especially if the substances have been absorbed into the material.

4. Glue / Adhesive Oxidation & Stickiness

Glue oxidation can occur naturally within the inner base material of both leather and non-leather items. Some signs may only become visible after cleaning, including stickiness, discoloration, colour transfer, bubbling, bending, or losing its original shape. Stickiness caused by surface contamination such as sweat, lotion, or oil may improve with cleaning. However, stickiness caused by material oxidation, heat, humidity, or improper storage may have limited or no improvement through cleaning alone.

5. Material Damage & Deterioration

Existing damage such as cracking, peeling, fraying, torn areas, holes, bruises, wrinkles, dents, pressure marks, shrinkage, burnt areas, or loss of shape may remain after cleaning. For fragile or deteriorated materials, existing damage may also expand or become more visible during the cleaning process. Additional repair may be recommended where applicable.

6. Fabric, Canvas & Nylon

Fabric, canvas, and nylon materials may become slightly darker or lighter after cleaning. Colour transfer or changes in shade may occur depending on the material and the type of stain being treated. These materials may also show fraying, fuzziness, or a furry texture after cleaning, depending on their existing condition.

7. Exotic Leather & Faux Fur

Exotic materials such as snake, crocodile, ostrich leather, and faux fur are delicate and have limited cleaning results due to their sensitive nature.

8. Patent Leather & PVC

Patent leather and glossy PVC materials have limited stain-removal results. Once these materials become permanently discoloured or chemically damaged, cleaning may not be able to restore the original appearance. Depending on the condition, colour restoration may be recommended.

9. Suede Leather

Suede can be cleaned, but stain removal results are limited depending on the depth and type of stain. In some cases, dark or stubborn stains may only be lightened.

10. Vachetta Leather

Vachetta leather, commonly found on Louis Vuitton items, is highly sensitive to water, oil, sweat, and other substances. Serious mould, water stains, or heavy patina may leave permanent marks. Depending on the condition, vachetta may become slightly darker or lighter after cleaning, and results will vary from item to item.

11. Colour & Logo Fading

Some materials may experience slight colour fading during cleaning depending on their existing condition. Faded or worn imprint logos may also become slightly less visible if the original print or dye is already weakened.

12. Threads & Stitching

Furry or frayed threads may become more noticeable after cleaning depending on the existing condition of the stitching.

13. Metal Hardware

Metal hardware will be cleaned and polished where applicable to improve its appearance and shine. Existing rust, tarnishing, scratches, chipped plating, or damaged finishes cannot be fully restored through standard polishing and may remain after cleaning. Additional metal restoration (plating) may be recommended where applicable.

14. Adhesive Residue

Adhesive residue may not be completely removable through a single cleaning treatment. Some residue may resurface over time. Results are therefore limited, and our workshop will attempt to reduce the residue while taking care not to damage the material.

15. Crystal / Protective Coating

Some items may have a crystal or protective coating on the surface, which can be found on certain Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and other branded items. When this coating begins to peel, crack, become sticky, or melt due to oxidation, removal of the deteriorated coating may be recommended. The appearance of the underlying base material may differ after the coating is removed.

16. Interior Layer Removal

We will remove the oxidised and peeling interior layer as thoroughly as possible. If the interior logo piece remains intact and securely attached, it will be retained. After the deteriorated layer is removed, the underlying cloth base material may remain exposed, as lining replacement is not included in this service. Areas affected by oxidation may appear darker, uneven, or discoloured after the peeling layer is removed. To access the affected areas properly, the bag may need to be carefully turned or flipped inside out during the process. Due to the item's age and existing condition, fading lines, creases, or extension of existing crease lines may occur or become more visible during the process, especially on printed or coated materials. The extent of these changes will depend on the item's material and existing condition.

17. Hidden Damage After Cleaning

Some deterioration may be hidden beneath dirt, dust, coatings, or other surface buildup and may only become visible after cleaning. For example, canvas, fabric, and nylon items may have pre-existing inner glue oxidation that only becomes apparent after cleaning, resulting in bubbling, wavy, stickiness, or other changes.

18. Existing Protective Sealants

Any adhesive plastic sealant found on metal hardware may be removed during servicing. If you wish to retain the original protective sealant, please inform us before placing your order. Please note that existing sealants may already be loose or weakened and may detach naturally during normal handling or servicing.

Important Note – Post-Cleaning Appearance

After cleaning, an item may temporarily feel stiffer, drier, or different in texture. This can occur because accumulated dirt, dust, oil, and other surface buildup have been removed. The item's feel and appearance may improve gradually with normal use and appropriate care.

GENERAL NOTES – COLOURING SERVICES

Colour restoration involves applying a new colour to the item to achieve a shade similar to its existing cleanest colour. Colouring is most suitable for leather materials and is intended to improve the overall appearance of faded, discoloured, or stained leather.

Colour Matching & Expected Results

A physical colour sample may be provided for our workshop to use as a reference. If no sample is provided, our specialists will select the cleanest suitable area of the item as the colour reference. The final colour can be matched to approximately 80–90% similarity. The actual result depends on the item's material, existing colour, stains, oxidation, and overall condition. The final shade may appear slightly lighter, darker, or different in tone from the original. For example, certain pink shades may result in a slightly coral or reddish tone. Similar variations may occur with other colours. Photos or digital images may be used as a general colour reference, but may appear differently depending on the lighting, device, and screen settings. Therefore, the colour shown in a photo may not represent the exact final colour. Colouring is not a restoration of the original leather condition. It enhances and evens out the colour but does not repair physical damage such as peeling, cracking, drying, deep scratches, or creasing. For leather that is already deteriorating, the new colour layer may follow the existing damage and eventually peel or flake together with the underlying leather.

Colour Change

Colour changing is available for suitable items. Customers are required to provide a physical colour sample or reference image for the desired colour. The final colour will be matched as closely as possible, with approximately 80–90% similarity. For heavily discoloured items where restoring the original shade is not suitable, our specialists may recommend changing to a different colour. Please note that the final colour may vary slightly from the reference provided. If a different colour is requested after the service has been completed, an additional colouring charge will apply. Colour changing is not recommended for leather with severe friction, deep scratches, or exposed base colour, as these areas may remain visible or become more noticeable after recolouring.

COLOURING

1. Two-Tone & Multi-Tone Designs

Where the same leather surface contains two or more colour tones, the item will generally be coloured into one colour tone only. For example, certain Louis Vuitton Epi, Givenchy Pepe, Chanel Caviar, layered-texture, or other two-tone designs may lose their original colour variation or texture effect after being coloured into one tone. Where applicable, the more prominent or vibrant shade will generally be used as the colour reference.

2. Colouring Process & Lead Time

The colouring process takes approximately 8-12 weeks and may take longer depending on the material, condition, and absorption of the colour. After colouring, the item will undergo observation and finishing procedures. A waterproofing treatment may also be applied where applicable and may require approximately some time to dry. Additional touch-ups may occasionally be required, especially in areas that are difficult to reach or subject to frequent handling.

3. Metallic & Neon Colours

Metallic colours such as gold, silver, and other metallic-effect colours are not recommended for colour restoration as they may fade more easily. Neon colours are also not recommended. Our colouring process cannot reproduce chrome, mirror, or highly reflective effects, and we cannot guarantee an identical metallic or neon finish to the original.

4. Existing Scratches, Scuffs & Creases

Existing scratches, scuffs, crease lines, or other surface damage may become more noticeable after colouring, as the new colour enhances the overall surface appearance.

5. Imprint Logos

Existing imprint logos will generally be preserved where possible. However, if an imprint logo has already faded significantly, colouring over the area may make the logo less visible. Where appropriate, our workshop may recommend covering the faded imprint with the same colour used for the leather.

6. Suede & Nubuck

Suede can be coloured; however, the material may become coarser, stiffer, or uneven in texture after colouring. It may also lose some of its original suede or furry feel as the colouring process is required to achieve more even colour coverage. Nubuck may become slightly shiny after colouring due to its short surface fibres. Results may vary depending on the length and condition of the fibres.

7. Fabric, Canvas, Nylon & Denim

Non-leather materials such as fabric, canvas, nylon, and denim can sometimes be coloured, but colouring is not recommended as it may result in a coarser, stiffer, or uneven texture.

8. Side Rubber / Gel Edges

Existing side rubber or gel edges will generally be kept in their original condition if they are still in good condition. If the gel is cracked or peeling, colouring may help improve its appearance by covering the affected areas. However, the underlying damage may remain visible or continue over time. For a more complete restoration, side rubber / gel replacement may be recommended separately. Additional charges apply depending on the complexity of the repair.

9. Stitching & Threads

Threads may also be coloured together with the surrounding leather and will generally become the same colour tone. After colouring, threads—especially cotton threads—may become slightly stiff, furry, or have a more noticeable texture.

10. Normal Wear & Tear

After colouring, the item remains subject to normal wear and tear. Edges, corners, handles, and other high-contact areas are more likely to experience colour fading or wear over time. Proper care and handling are recommended to maintain the restored colour.

11. Post-Colouring Texture

After colouring, the item may temporarily feel slightly stiffer or drier. This can occur due to the cleaning and preparation process, as well as the application of the new colour layers. The texture may gradually improve with appropriate use and care.

12. Exotic Leather & Faux Fur

Exotic materials such as snake, crocodile, ostrich leather, and faux fur have limited colouring options. Depending on the material and condition, only one colour tone may be possible.

13. Patent Leather Colouring

Please note that the final shine level may appear slightly glossier or less glossy than the original, depending on the condition of the patent leather. If the patent leather has existing oxidation, small dots, uneven areas, cracks, scuffs, or peeling, these may remain visible after colouring, especially upon close inspection. Colouring does not repair existing physical damage, and deteriorated areas may continue to develop due to the condition of the material. Due to the nature of patent leather and its glossy finish, minor surface irregularities such as faint whitish marks, tiny dots, or small air bubbles may become visible after the new colour has fully cured. These are generally subtle and may not be noticeable from a normal viewing distance. For sticky patent leather, colouring may help reduce the stickiness, but complete removal cannot be guaranteed. The stitching or threading may also become slightly rougher or coarser after colouring as part of the colouring process. As patent leather requires a more careful and detailed colouring process, the completion time may be longer than standard leather colouring. Additional time may be required for heavily oxidised or deteriorated items.

14. Patterned & Signature Materials

Patterned materials and signature prints cannot generally be restored through standard colouring. Examples include Louis Vuitton Monogram and Damier, Gucci signature canvas, MCM logo patterns, Burberry PVC patterns, and other branded printed materials. Colouring these materials may cover or alter the original pattern and is therefore not recommended.

15. Unprocessed, Patina & Vachetta Leather

Unprocessed leather, patina leather, and vachetta leather can be coloured where suitable. Please note that the stitching may also absorb the new colour and become similar to the surrounding leather. Existing hairline cracks, scratches, or other surface marks may become more visible after colouring.

16. Bottega Leather Colouring Note

Due to Bottega's woven (crisscrossed) leather design, it is not possible to achieve 100% colour coverage on the overlapped areas underneath the weave. We do not recommend forcing the leather apart to access these areas, as this may loosen the weave or affect the item's original shape and structure. As a result, some underlying leather areas may remain visible after colouring, particularly between the woven sections. Bags Butler will do their best to refresh the colour and achieve the most even appearance possible while preserving the bag's structure.

17. Metal Hardware

Metal hardware such as buckles, studs, rings, zippers, and chains is not included in leather colouring services. Where applicable, the hardware may be polished to improve its shine. Existing oxidation, rust, tarnishing, scratches, or damaged plating cannot be restored through standard polishing. For more significant hardware deterioration, metal restoration or gold plating may be recommended as an additional service.

18. Colour Transfer to Non-Leather Areas

When colouring leather near fabric, canvas, nylon, or other non-leather materials, there is a possibility of slight colour transfer or seepage into the surrounding material. Our workshop will take precautions to minimize this risk. Complete prevention cannot be guaranteed, and further cleaning of affected non-leather materials may have limited results.

19. Wallet Colouring Note

For wallets, the colouring service does not include the interior card slot compartments. These areas will be cleaned only, as the limited space makes them difficult to access safely for colouring. Please note that forcing the card slots open during the colouring process may cause the leather to stretch, expand, or lose its original shape.

20. Oxidised / Damaged Leather

Colouring cannot stop or repair existing leather deterioration such as peeling, cracking, scuffing, drying, or severe oxidation. If the leather is already deteriorating, the damage may continue or expand after colouring, and the applied colour layer may eventually flake together with the damaged leather.

METAL PLATING (18K / 24K / GOLD / SILVER/ VINTAGE)

Metal plating is a process of applying a new plating layer to refresh or restore the colour of faded or worn metal hardware. Plating can improve the overall appearance of the hardware. Kindly note it does not repair physical damage. If the hardware has existing oxidation, tarnishing, chipped plating, deep scratches, scuff marks, or heavy friction, these may remain visible after plating, especially upon close inspection. Plating is applied only to reachable areas. Some areas may have limited access and therefore may not receive the same level of coverage. The final finish and colour may vary depending on how the existing metal surface reacts during the plating process. Plating may help refresh the hardware and slow down further oxidation, but it cannot completely prevent future oxidation or wear.

SIDE GEL REPAIR / LEATHER FILLER

Side gel repair / leather filler involves applying new lacquer, rubber, or filler to worn or damaged leather edges and trimming areas. This helps improve the appearance of worn edges, conceal exposed stitching, and fill minor gaps or surface imperfections. For flexible areas, flapping sections, or leather with early-stage cracking, the final result and durability depend on the item’s existing condition, material, and level of damage. For heavily damaged areas, the repaired surface may remain slightly uneven or irregular in texture after service. Existing cracks or imperfections may also remain visible depending on the material and condition of the item.

STITCHING

Our workshop will select a similar colour and suitable available thread for the stitching service. Where necessary, nearby parts of the item may need to be carefully lifted or opened to facilitate re-stitching. The final stitching may appear slightly uneven depending on the material, existing stitching, and condition of the item. If the original leather is too badly damaged or weakened to be safely re-stitched, our specialist may recommend leather replacement instead. Where replacement is required, we will source a genuine-quality leather with a similar texture and appearance as closely as possible.

ZIPPER REPLACEMENT

We will use a premium-quality replacement zipper and select the closest available match based on stock availability. The replacement zipper is not an original branded part and may differ slightly from the original in size, texture, colour, or finishing. Where possible, we will try to reuse the original zipper head and zipper puller. However, this depends on the condition and compatibility of the existing parts and cannot be guaranteed. For items with double-sided zipper pullers, we will do our best to retain both original pullers. However, depending on the bag’s condition or zipper construction, only one original puller may be reusable in some cases. If the original puller(s) cannot be reused, we will advise accordingly.

LEATHER CUSTOMIZATION / REPLACEMENT

We use genuine-quality leather for leather replacement and will select the closest available texture and colour based on stock availability. The replacement leather may differ slightly from the original in texture, grain, or colour, which is normal. Colour matching is approximately 80–90% similarity. All leather replacement and customization work is 100% handcrafted by our craftsmen. Therefore, cutting, stitching, and finishing lines may not be perfectly straight or uniform like machine-made work. Where possible, we will follow the original stitching lines and existing stitch holes. However, if the original stitching area is badly damaged or unsuitable for reuse, additional stitching points may be required to secure the replacement leather. This may result in slight differences or unevenness compared to the original stitching. The texture of the replacement leather will be selected to closely resemble the original, but 100% identical texture cannot be guaranteed. For non-black leather, the replacement leather may also be coloured to match the existing shade of the item as closely as possible. The durability of the replacement leather and colour will depend on usage, handling, storage, and environmental conditions and remains subject to normal wear and tear. If other non-replaced areas of the item already have oxidation, cracks, peeling, or fragile material, these conditions may worsen or expand during the installation process due to the handling required to replace the leather.

VACHETTA LEATHER REPLACEMENT

We use genuine vachetta leather and have several available vachetta shades. Our workshop will select the shade that closely matches the existing vachetta on your item. As the replacement leather is new, it may initially appear slightly lighter or different in colour compared to the existing leather. This is normal. The vachetta will naturally darken and develop its own patina with regular use over time. Please note that the replacement vachetta leather will not include the original LV lettering stamp. For metal studs attached to the leather, removal carries a risk of damaging the inner screw or stud. If the original stud remains reusable after removal, we will reinstall it onto the new leather. If the stud cannot be safely reused, the replacement leather will proceed without the metal stud. We may offer premium studs as replacement if available.

LINING/CLOTH REPLACEMENT

We use premium-quality lining material and will select the closest available texture and colour based on stock availability. All lining replacement work is handcrafted by our workshop team. Please note that the new lining may differ slightly from the existing lining in texture or colour. Our priority is to provide a durable and quality replacement.

RUBBER SOLE REPLACEMENT

The bottom sole will be replaced with a premium-quality, high-grade replacement sole. Our workshop will select the closest available sole based on the existing design, size, colour, and finishing. Please note that the replacement sole may differ slightly from the original in design, texture, colour, or branding details, depending on the available material. Our aim is to achieve the closest possible overall appearance while ensuring suitable fitting and finishing. This replacement is intended for aesthetic and personal use purposes. Rubber sole replacement is a complex replacement service and will require additional time. Soles are available in different models, colours, sizes, and shapes, and a suitable match may not always be available immediately. Premium imported materials may also need to be specially sourced from suppliers, which can require additional logistics time. The replacement process itself may also require additional time to ensure proper fitting, alignment, and finishing.

COLOR TOUCH-UP

Touch-up service involves applying new colour dye to specific areas of the leather. Colour matching is approximately 80–90% similar and helps improve the overall appearance. Please note that touch-up does not repair cracks, scuffs, tears, or texture damage. While imperfections may become less noticeable, the original texture and condition will remain. The result may look more even, but will not restore the item to a brand-new condition. For glossy or shiny leather, the touched-up area may appear slightly shinier or less shiny than the surrounding areas, depending on how the leather reacts to the colouring process.

PROTECTION COATING

Protection coating is not stain-proof or scratch-proof. This service includes nano waterproof coating and anti-bacterial coating, which provide an additional protective layer to help reduce water and mould absorption into the leather or material. The coating helps reduce direct contact between external elements and the material surface, but it does not completely prevent stains, water damage, or mould growth. Results and durability will vary depending on the material type, existing condition, usage, handling, and storage environment.

RESHAPING & RESTRUCTURING

Reshaping and structuring service helps improve the overall shape, structure, and appearance of the bag. However, due to natural wear, ageing, and material softness or deformation over time, the bag may not return to its original or brand-new condition. Our team will do our best to achieve a more structured and improved shape, depending on the item’s existing condition and material.

EXTENDED SERVICE WARRANTY

Customers may purchase an Extended Service Warranty (12 months) for the same item. This allows the item to be sent back to us once within 12 months for the same cleaning or colouring service. The Extended Service Warranty is limited to one-time use within the 12-month warranty period and does not cover normal wear and tear, new damage, misuse, friction, or further deterioration of the original material. After the applicable warranty period has expired, re-service will not be provided under warranty unless a new service is purchased.

SERVICE DURATION

Each service requires a different processing time depending on the type of service, material, and condition of the item. The estimated duration provided is a guideline only, and in some cases, the servicing time may be longer due to the item’s condition, additional treatment, or workshop requirements. Our team will provide customers with before-and-after service pictures and relevant remarks once the servicing process has reached the appropriate stage. Please note that we do not provide regular updates throughout each stage of the servicing process.

OVERDUE DELIVERY & STORAGE

Once the service has been completed, our team will contact the customer to arrange delivery or collection. All outstanding payments must be fully settled before the item is released for delivery or collection. Bags Butler will keep the serviced item for a maximum of 1 month after the service is completed. After this period, a SGD 60 monthly storage fee will apply. If the item remains uncollected for 6 months, Bags Butler reserves the right to dispose of or resell the item to recover any outstanding service and storage costs, unless the applicable monthly storage fees have been paid and the storage arrangement has been maintained.

COMPENSATION

In the unlikely event of loss or damage to an item while it is under our care, Bags Butler will review the case and discuss a suitable resolution with the customer on an individual basis, taking into consideration the item’s condition, age, authenticity, market value, and circumstances of the incident. Customers may be required to provide proof of purchase or other supporting documents to verify the item and assist with the assessment. Any compensation or resolution offered will be subject to individual case assessment and mutual discussion. The maximum compensation liability of Bags Butler shall not exceed SGD 1,800 per item. Once a compensation arrangement has been mutually agreed and successfully settled, the original item may be retained by Bags Butler where applicable.

MAINTENANCE SERVICE & POST-SERVICE WARRANTY

The condition of each item may vary depending on its material, age, existing condition, usage, storage environment, and post-service care. These factors may also affect the item’s condition after servicing. A 14-day workmanship warranty is provided for every serviced item, starting from the date the customer receives the item. This warranty is intended to cover workmanship-related issues arising from the completed service. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, improper handling or storage, new damage, friction, material ageing, oxidation, or deterioration of the original material. Bags Butler will not be responsible for changes or deterioration that occur after the applicable warranty period due to individual usage, storage conditions, environmental factors, material oxidation, or the natural ageing of the item.

Some items may require further maintenance after the initial service due to their existing condition or normal wear and tear. Maintenance service within 6 months after the 14-day warranty period is available from SGD 90 onwards, depending on the item and service required. Once 6 months have passed from the date the serviced item was returned to the customer, any further servicing, re-service, or maintenance request for the same item will be treated as a new enquiry and new service order, subject to the applicable service charges and terms. To provide the best possible care for each item, Bags Butler may, where appropriate, arrange for certain items to be serviced, assessed, or quality-checked at Bags Butler’s own international workshops and operations facilities. All service durations provided are estimates only. Depending on the item’s condition, service requirements, workshop processes, logistics arrangements, and quality control procedures, the actual completion time may be shorter or longer than initially estimated. Service timelines may also be affected by logistics arrangements, natural disasters, public holidays, customs clearance, transportation delays, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond Bags Butler’s reasonable control.
